Sumatra, along with other Southeast Asian countries like Vietnam and The Phillipines, has suffered intense cyclones and flooding within the past month. Sumatra, in particular, has counted over 900 confirmed deaths due to the floods and landslides. Coffee producers in regions like Bener Meriah in Aceh have also been affected.

In lieu of a holiday blend, we’d like to offer you this flood relief fundraiser. Incidentally, we recently discovered that we still have one more green batch of our popular wet-hulled lychee co-ferment produced by the producer Asbi in Bener Meriah in collaboration with the processor Central Sumatra Coffee. All profits from this coffee will go to both the Padang-based Legal Aid Foundation (Lembaga Bantuan Hukum) in West Sumatra and Banda Aceh-based LBH further up north.
