This is our 2nd year of sourcing 96B’s Liberica Project.

We first came across Vietnamese liberica during our visit to 96B’s roastery cafe in the first district of Ho Chi Minh City.

This anaerobic lot is the result of founder Hana Choi’s collaboration with 5 different producers. She first became interested in liberica both due to its deep root stock, which makes it a hardy plant, as well as its flavor.

With 1 20-hr anaerobic fermentation, this liberica gives a highly sweet and unique cup experience with a cascara tea-like mouthfeel and fruity impressions of peach and blueberry.
